The Electronics & Communications Section, formerly the Specialised Section in Electronics, aims to provide technical activities including seminars, symposiums, workshops and visits to the members of the institution. It also provides a forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas in the area of electronics, communications and photonics. The theme of the activities are : 

• electronic circuits and systems,
• radio communications systems,
• photonics and
•  telecommunication networks and services and related topics.
